INTRODUCE

Well, I say thanks to ALLAH for everything that is given. After that I would like thanks to MISS LINA MARLINA who has given me a special opportunity to report about this movie. The title is LAST SONG. This movie tell about love of a child to her/his parents.

SYNOPSIS

Ronnie's and her younger brother, Jonah's, parents are divorced. They live with their mother until this summer they are sent to live with their father in a small town on the beach. Ronnie resents her father and has no intention of being friendly or even talking to him for the summer. But after meeting a handsome guy and beginning to fall in love, Ronnie starts rediscovering her love for music, something she shares with her father. Reconnecting with music revives a kinship with her father which proves to be the most important relationship she may ever experience.

PLOT

Steve and her wife have two children. Named of the children is Ronnie and Jonah. Ronnie is a beautiful girl and can play piano. They lived in New York, But at the time Steve and her wife divorced. So that, Steve moved to his village and lived alone. On the other hand, Ronnie and Jonah lived with her mother in New York. Since that time Ronnie hate her father because she think her father left her. In New York Ronnie always make mistakes, like she stole in shop. In the summer Steve ask  Ronnie’s mother to accompany her children to his house , he miss his children. Jonah’s mother accompany her children to Steve’s house and Ronnie’s mother talk to her children that Ronnie and Jonah will spend their holiday in summer at Steve’s house, But Ronnie didn’t like it. At the village Ronnie’s spent her time with her new friend. In there, Ronnie met with William. William is a rich man. Beside that, Ronnie and William have some habit. They like to protect turtle. William and Ronnie meet everyday and suddenly they make relationship. Since that time Ronnie always share some story with her father. Ronnie and her father began closer. Ronnie didn't hate her father like yesterday. One day when Ronnie and William waive a turtle into the sea, suddenly Ronnie's father fainted and was taken to the hospital. In hospital the doctor said that Steve's cancer getting worse. Ronnie Shock after she heard what the doctor said. Ronnie didn't know that her father got cancer. So, everyday Ronnie take care her parents and she lived with her father all day long. On the other hand , William leave Ronnie because he's continue his study to Columbia. Ronnie spend her time with her father with play piano together. her father make a song, but the song could not be continued because her father passed away. Finally, Ronnie completed the song and play in the church as proof of his love to his father.

COMMENT

This is a wonderful film about mending strained relationships, and making past wrongs right. It shows how love should really be, in a parent relationship.

SYNOPSIS

in 1981, in San Francisco, the smart salesman and family man Chris Gardner invests the family savings in Osteo National bone-density scanners, an apparatus twice as expensive as an x-ray machine but with a slightly clearer image. This white elephant financially breaks the family, bringing troubles to his relationship with his wife Linda, who leaves him and moves to New York where she has taken a job in a pizza parlor. Their son Christopher stays with Chris because he and his wife both know that he will be able to take better care of him. What’s the next story?

PLOT

This part of his life. The first part his called “riding  the bus” at the time Chris sold a machine, that machine have a good picture rather than X-ray. That machine called “bone density”. Chris sold that machine for him life.  That machine is very expensive so, when Chris offered that machine to a doctor and hospital. Most of hospital and doctor refused that machine. Chris needed a sold two machine for a month for rent and others. But at the time Chris haven’t sold anyone for a while. The second part of his life called “being stupid”. Chris left his machine to someone. Usually we called HIPPI . she is a singer but she’s song on the street. HIPPI stolen his machine and brought far away. The third part of his life we called “ Running” because he met HIPPI on the street, and Chris catch out HIPPI. Chris didn’t want lost that machine because one machine it’s mean if Chris lost one it’s look like losing a month groceries. After that Without any money or a wife, but committed to his son, Chris sees a chance to fight for a stockbroker internship position at Dean Witter, offering a more promising career at the end of a six-month unpaid training period. During that period, Chris goes through a lot of hardship personally and professionally. When he thinks he is "stable," he finds that he has lost $600 when the government takes the last bit of money in his bank account for taxes. He is rendered homeless because he can't pay his rent. He is forced at one point to stay in a bathroom at a train station, and must scramble from work every day to the Glide Memorial United Methodist Church, which offers shelter to the homeless. He must leave work early every day so that he is there by 5:00 in the evening along with his son so that he may be assured of a place to sleep. He is seen carrying his suitcase to work because he doesn't have a home. At work, there are nineteen other candidates for the one position.

One day, he is called into an office and in it were the heads of Dean Witter. Chris thinks that he is about to be told the job will not be his as he says that he wore a shirt and tie for his final day. Then they tell him that he has been an excellent trainee and that tomorrow he will have to wear his shirt and tie again as it will be his first day as a broker. Chris struggles to hold back tears. Outside he begins to cry as the busy people of San Francisco walk past him. He rushes to his son's daycare, hugging him and knowing that after everything him and his son had been through things would be all right.

The final scene shows They walk down the street, joking with each other and are passed by a man in a business suit. The epilogue reveals that Chris went on to become a successful businessman and to form his own multi-million dollar brokerage firm.

MORAL VALUE

Everyone wants to be happy. Sometimes, for being a happy person is not easy. It needs some efforts. You need to chase it.

Type of Listening Strategy

Listening for specific information is a common type of  listening especially in testing listening contexts and students need to be prepared for it. The strategy needed for listening of this type is very much unique from other forms of listening.
First and foremost temptation in the minds of learners of listening to English is to listen and understand everything. Well there are some strategy to listening. The strategy is

1.      The first strategy is to be familiar with the questions. The questions can help the listener in listening.

2.      To get a general idea of the listening beforehand. The questions can be used as a springboard to get into the context of the listening which would facilitate the listener in understanding the text in a better way. The case would be different if they listen without any idea of what they're listening.

3.      The listener can predict what kind of information they need to listen in order to complete the task. That would help them to decide what to listen closely.

4.      Moreover the listener can use the words from the question in order to guide the listening. These words would help the listener to locate where they should listen closely.

The conclusion

i have another ways to listening . The first way is keep focus with listening. The second is if the speakers will be start to listening we should read the question on the paper and try to understand what is the meaning. The third, if you can’t get the answer move to the next question.
